<Dwarven script> These days seem getting shorter. I'm finding equipment much needed and have self assigned myself as the Coffinswode North Gate Watchman position. Lets me see who's in and out, and I can catch newcomers early to help them out as best a follower of the Forge Lord Moradin deems appropriate.
When my footing gets more solid. I will propose a partnership to lead the Militia. Cap'n Aldo just does not seem up to the task on his lonesome, and my military and battlehardened background is much needed.
<Dwarven Script> The men be gone - Moradin keep them in their watery graves. I pray for them each day, their warrior spirits help keep the Forge Father's embers lit and warm - It won't be long before I join you lads. Save a seat near the hearth for this old dwarf.
Walked the long sad walk from the sinking boat to a beach. Not much to see. Made it to a hamlet what survivors calling "Coffinswode", a fitting name, but best we have right now.
Met the so called captain of the rag-tag makeshift Militia. Aldo. He's trying but first impressions, he's no leader in war bless him for where he is, and the task he has before him - with all due respect, he will need me. Moradin help us. I can help him with that. Just need a Warhammer and some steel skins. For now I will wait and watch, forge some ingots, help the lot of them survive. Good people I've met so far. They helped me some and once my feet are found, i'll help the Militia. They need it.
Found the forge. Bless the Forge Father's Belted and Booted Feet it felt good to warm myself near a smoldering forge of embers.
Bruun is a thick and calloused dwarf, taller than most, with a frosted aging braided beard. His gear is well kept and rugged. His weapons of choice include Warhammer and thick heavy shield, or two hammers if he's feeling feisty. Upon his shield clearly etched is a hammer and anvil, the symbol of the Soul Forger Moradin. Also upon his shield are etched the dates and years of military service to Clan Ironflame during times of war. He also carries a few throwing axes, a knife, and a small kit of forging tools (when equipped or traveling). A large leather pouch hangs loosely on one shoulder, and a bulbous smokepipe carved from the horn of an Oliphant rests at his side.
His personal mannerisms are surprisingly calm and reserved for a hardened warrior. He is known to take a dram or two when off duty and often smells of thick rare tree bark tobacco and piping herbs.
